Five people served in the same wartime platoon. Four survived with their memories taken. Tonight, a distress call comes through on a frequency that should have died years ago.

Me and My Shadow is a complete Black Dossier scenario for the NoWhere tabletop RPG — one session, four pregenerated characters, zero prior knowledge required. You don't get a rulebook chapter bolted onto a scenario. You get the whole thing: a pirate radio transmission, a Parliament cover story, a conspiracy thread nobody can agree on, and a night that's going to make all three of those things collide.

Your characters served together in the war. They don't remember how it ended. Tonight, a Vespertine Dusker named Orren Vale gets his shadow torn off his body in front of them — and the only people positioned to stop it are the same four soldiers Parliament spent nine years making sure never asked the right question. Nine years isn't old history. Half of Parliament's current seats were held by the same people when this happened.

What's in the file:

  • Chapter 00 — the full core mechanics primer plus a pathway overview and dedicated Opener for every Source in this cast. Enough here to build your own characters if you like what you're playing.
  • Seven full scenes, GM-ready, scored to an Escalation Clock — including a black-market raid with its own dice game, and a descent through the city's decommissioned eighth pocket-realm
  • Four complete pregenerated characters — Seam (Tracer), Pigeon (Spelleater), Bell (Lucid, with a dream familiar that shows up as one of the strangest reveals in the file), and Clay (Aberrant, all raw unfiltered power) — each with a full Delirium chart in their own pathway's voice
  • A complete GM Reference section with everything actually true about the scenario — and we mean everything, including a faction connection most tables won't see coming
  • Five distinct ending states plus an independent Camp Outcome axis, because we don't believe in scenarios with one correct outcome
  • A complete in-world tabloid (Thuh Kwikken Ecee) routing every piece of gear through community reviews instead of a stat block nobody reads

This is the new standard for what a Fugue State one-shot is: enough system to actually learn the game from, enough lore that a GM could turn this into a full campaign without breaking a sweat, and a night at the table you won't be able to shake.

New to NoWhere? Start with The Broken Reel — a free transmission that's where this all starts.

Playable in browser or download as a self-contained file — print it, screen-share it, however your table runs.

Drink the static. Stay unfixed.
